Stage C @ The Cameron Cafe, July 25, 2009: Pirates & Parrot Heads
Shiver me timbers and hoist up your sails! Pirates are coming to Cameron Cafe. Come join guest host Cap'n Coy Theobalt for this theme show of outlandish fun and entertainment. Prizes will be given for best costume! Arrrrrr!
Featured Musicians: The Choralary, a folk chorale sharing the living tradition of the folk music process – the old and the new. Sometimes acapella, sometimes with string accompaniment and a touch of bodhrain or djembe, always centered in rich and varied vocal harmonies.
Poet: Ken Greenley, outrageous and gnarly poetry from a salty dog.
Sage on Stage Storyteller: Guest Host, Coy Theobalt, presenting “It was a dark and stormy night ….”
KidBits: Sean Lowe, pirate poetry, song and costume from a young matey.
Community Connections: Host, Coy Theobalt and guest share about Reel Recovery, an organization helping "men in the cancer recovery process by introducing them to the healing powers of the sport of fly-fishing, while providing a safe, supportive environment to explore their personal experiences of cancer with others who share their stories."
