Connecting Creativity and Community

Hello and welcome to Stage C!

What is Stage C?

Stage C is a network of live, local variety shows, with featured musicians, poets, storytellers, child and teen acts, participatory activities to include the audience, interviews and more. Stage C is a collaborative effort with a focus on "Connecting Community and Creativity." Stage C is a venue to nurture the creativity of community members and thus enrich and enliven community life.

The Stage C concept grows out of the following assumptions:

  • People are creative beings by nature
  • People need to have a creative outlet for expression in order be happy, lively, functioning members of society
  • People naturally want and need connection with each other, therefore…
  • People are part of communities
  • Creativity is an essential component of a lively community
  • When creativity is not nurtured, it withers and goes dormant and the community loses access to the richness and vitality of those creative juices
  • A healthy community is a community that uses the creativity of its members to their fullest
